What's Included

Your donation includes:

8 nights lodging - double occupancy in a local hotel. Single rooms may be available for an additional fee of $375.
Three meals per day (alcohol not included)
A donation towards construction materials and local labor
All on-site tools, a first-aid kit, and plenty of water and snacks
Travel medical insurance
All in-country transportation (flights not included)
Cultural and R&R activities.

What separates us from other volunteer build trips?

We are 100% volunteer run - your donation doesn't help pay for a CEO's inflated salary, because we have no salaries.
No padded fees - we budget for actual expenses without overcharging volunteers
You'll stay in comfortable and safe lodging with the entire team - for maximum team bonding we will all stay in the same hotel.
You decide! This is your trip, too, so we want your input. We ask our volunteers to tell us what they want to do for fun, which activities they want to see and which restaurants we should visit.

About the Project

We are partnering with The Delia Foundation, a nonprofit focused on assisting children with disabilities and families in need in Romania. We will be helping an older couple build their kitchen space and install a bathroom in their house, as they currently use an outhouse.

No Experience Necessary

Just bring a great attitude. There are no requirements for how much or how little you do. Your presence is enough!

Volunteer week schedule

Arrival Date: Saturday, April 11

Please arrive at the Bucharest Henri Coandǎ International Airport on Saturday. You can arrive early if you would like, and we can secure the hotel for any additional days you need. We will provide transport from the airport to the hotel. For those that arrive early we will be touring the old town of Bucharest and learning about the country's communist past.

On Sunday, April 12 we will depart for Comǎnesti, Romania

Work Week Schedule - Monday to Thursday

Plan on being ready by 7:30am each day from Monday to Thursday. A typical work day will be from 8am until noon. After lunch we will work from about 1pm to 4pm. We'll have plenty of snacks and water on the job site. Dinner will generally take place around 7pm, and we'll choose a different place to eat each night. On Thursday we will have a farewell "party" on-site with the family and staff.

Thursday to Saturday

Between Thursday and Saturday we will explore the historical towns of Brasov and Sinaia.

Departure Day, Sunday, April 19

Our final team meal will be dinner on Saturday evening together. We will provide transportation to the airport. If you want to extend your stay we can assist with the hotel or getting you to your next destination.
